Universal Hobbies are renowned in the model collecting world, for producing highly detailed, and quality models of farming tractors and associated machinery.

The Fordson ‘New Performance’ range was launched in 1963 and was to be the final development of the highly successful Fordson range. Improvements included increased power from the engines, upgraded hydraulic systems and stronger transmission components. Of course, the biggest visual change was the colour scheme which was to become the mainstay ID for Ford tractors for many years. Although the New Performance range was the finale of Fordson, the campaign was one of the largest ever for a tractor launch, the now famous image of the three tractors pictured at the front of Boreham House was used in much of the publicity campaign.
