This is a fine and rare example of a Corgi Hauliers Of Renown CC10605 Leyland Octopus, 8 Wheel Platform Lorry With Fruit & Vegetable Load presented in the bright Blue Yellow colour of Entress Transport Ltd of Swansea Livery, produced by Corgi in 2012, in 1:50 Scale.

This stunning model is in 10/10 mint condition, having never left the packaging (except for photographs), and comes complete with a Limited Edition Certificate No. 232 of only 750 produced, and its accessories comprising of mirrors(un-fitted) and fruit & vegetable load. Box and packaging are intact, outer box has minimal marks and is graded 9/10.

Entress Transport of Llansamlet, near Swansea, was one of a number of South Wales haulage companies, mainly serving the steel industry. Under control of its founder, W H ‘Bill’ Entress, it was well established before nationalisation in 1949, when its fleet strength stood at 10 lorries. Under British Road Services control until 1954, the company then returned to private ownership and during the 1950s, underwent expansion , reaching a fleet of some 20 8 wheelers during its heyday. Outward traffic would consist mainly of steel to the London and Luton areas, whilst most return loads consisted of fruit and vegetables from Covent Garden.
